Add Channel Response Bot to your workspace AND your channel before starting!

Contains
Replying when a word or phrase is present
  1. Go to the channel you want to set up replies for.
  2. Begin your command with “/crb-contains”.
  3. Next add the phrase or word you want to trigger on.
  4. Finally, add the “–reply” flag and then write your response afterwards.
  5. Optionally, Add “–threaded” to the end if you want to reply within a thread.
Missing
Replying when a word or phrase is missing
  1. Go to the channel you want to set up replies for and begin your command with “/crb-missing”.
  2. Next add the phrase or word you need to be in every message sent to a channel.
  3. Finally, add the “–reply” flag and then write your response afterwards.
  4. Optionally, add “–threaded” to the end if you want to reply in thread.
Regex
Replying when a word or phrase matches your regex pattern
  1. Go to the channel you want to set up replies for and begin your command with “/crb-regex”.
  2. Next add the python compliant regex to match against messages in the channel.
  3. Finally, add the “–reply” flag and then write your response afterwards. See the results below.
  4. Optionally add “–threaded” to the end if you want to reply in thread.
List Rules
List the rules set for a channel.
  1. Simply run “/crb-rules” to get the full list of rules for a channel
Delete a Rule
Deleting a rule that no longer suits
  1. Run “/crb-rules” to get the ID of the rule you want to delete.
  2. Run “/crb-delete” and then add the rule ID and hit enter.
Set Channel Hours
Set hours when all messages in a channel get an automatic responses
  1. Go to the channel you want to set a timed response for and type “/crb-set-hours”.
  2. Then type the days it should be active (Mon-Fri, Sat, Sun).
  3. Then type the hours during which the response should be sent (17:30-23:59).
  4. Lastly set the message to be sent (This channel is not actively monitored after hours).
  5. Optionally, add a timezone if GMT doesn’t suit (-tz GMT+10)

List Channel Hours
List the time ranges set for when a reply will be sent to all messages in a channel.
  1. Go to the channel you wish to see active hours for
  2. Run /crb-hours

Delete Channel Hours
Deleting a set of channel hours that is no longer needed
  1. Get the ID of the channel hours you want to delete by running “/crb-hours”.
  2. Run “/crb-delete-hours” followed by the ID and hit enter.
